Many Thanks in advance & Regards from the UK. Have I inadvertantly changes some obscure settings?Īny help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated - Windows and my system is virtually useless without the use of the button! I'm convinced it is a software problem as the problem started after WIndows playing up badly and also because the tapping on the pad doesn't work. The right mouse button works as it is supposed to. In addition to this a short sharp tap on the pad itself doesn't execute a click as it is designed (and used) to do. However the left mousepad button does not work at all - as in it presses and clicks fine but the screen just doesn't respond. Sony Vaio VGN-FZ140 Alps touchpad not working on Win 7 in Drivers Today I upgraded my Vaio VGN-FZ140 laptop from Vista Home Premium 32-Bit to Windows 7 Home Premium 32-Bit and everything is working great (motioneye camera, physical media controls buttons like vol up/down, etc.) except the Alps touchpad does not work at all. The cursor moves as usual, without problem as does the right mousepad button. To do this I used the Vaio recovery CD with a full format and re-install. I have re-installed Windows, wiping all data and starting afresh. The mousepad and one button on my Sony Vaio PCG-K115B are playing up.
