In fact we got the announcement that Lucasfilm Games and Ubisoft are teaming up to make an open world Star Wars game. Luckily, EA will continue to make Star Wars games while allowing other gaming companies to make games as well.
When Lucasfilm Games made their triumphant return this week many fans wondered if this meant the end of EA making more Star Wars games. That unfortunately did not happen and DICE producers told the fans that they were being assigned to work on other projects outside of Star Wars. When EA and DICE made the decision to shut down work on the current version fans were hopeful that soon we would be getting an announcement of a third installment of the Battlefront series. The love of Battlefront 2 has created multiple communities and social media outlets which has lasted over three years. It is so successful that even though updates on the games have ceased there are still new players joining the online platform of the game. But that all changed and it turned into one of the most successful Star Wars games ever. It’s no secret that Star Wars Battlefront 2 came with some controversy after it initial launch.
